This area is used to find objects made from specific materials. Examples include wood or satin.

Click the button to search within and choose from a list of materials known to be represented in the collection. Your choice will be automatically entered into the search box.

Alternatively, enter the name of a material directly into the search box. The first few letters of a material may also be entered.

Tips

• Theatrical items are rarely as they seem. For example, many items in the collection may appear to be made of gold and silk, but are actually made of tinfoil, paint and polyester. To search for items with the intended appearance of a particular material, it is best to enter the name of the desired material in the Word(s) from Object Description search box.

Venue

This area is used to find productions staged in a specific venue. Examples include the Avon Theatre and the Grand Theatre (London, Ont.).

Click the button to search within and choose from a list of venues known to be represented in the collection. Your choice will be automatically entered into the search box.

Alternatively, enter the name of a venue directly into the search box. The first few letters of a venue may also be entered.
