Founded in 1967, the Archives hold the records of the Stratford Festival going back to its origins. We house many rare and unique artefacts, from the robe worn by Alec Guinness in the inaugural 1953 production of Richard III to archival videos of productions and a copy of the Fourth Folio of Shakespeare’s works. We also hold the personal archives of such Festival artists as Tanya Moiseiwitsch, Brian Jackson, Richard Monette and Stanley Silverman.
Not all holdings of the Stratford Festival Archives are represented in the catalogue. Check back frequently for updates. For more information about our holdings and accessing our collections
